Aviva London Grand Prix 2010

Taking place over two days, Aviva London Grand Prix includes more sports than any other event on the IAAF Diamond League world circuit.
At last year's sell-out show, Usain Bolt stormed to success in the 100m race – the only competitor to finish in less than 10 seconds – while Kate Dennison set a new national record in the women's pole vault.

Bolt and Gay ready for showdown - Diamond League Stockholm

Bolt, who arrived early in Stockholm to meet the public and promote his new clothing range, knows he is going to have to work hard, but without risking further damage to the Achilles tendon which troubled him earlier this season.

Bolt will compete on the Diamond League, Sweden

“It’s definitely a big race,” he said. “I’ve had people in Jamaica saying ‘You can’t let Tyson beat you.’ It’s going to be a tough race, but my main aim is to try and avoid getting injured because my injury is better and hopefully it’s going to hold up.

“This season I’m trying to stay unbeaten, but it’s going to be hard race here.”

Gay said he felt that Powell dropping out of the race altered his preparations.

"It does,” he said. “Because this was going to be the World Championships all over again. But it’s still going to be a really great race.”
